Bragg Creek Performing Arts is a not-for-profit organization staffed entirely by volunteers. We bring quality concerts, by professional performers, to residents of and visitors to the Bragg Creek/Redwood Meadows area.
Our performances run from September through May. Our current season is now complete. Details of the fall portion of our next season are below.
We are pleased and excited to announce our Fall 2013 Season. We welcome some new performers along with some familiar faces. Sloan will be finding their “Folky” side to start the season in September followed by Pear and Alex*Cuba. If you enjoyed the original Barrage you will certainly recognize Lynae and Denis (Pear) who fronted the troop. Alex *Cuba wowed us with a solo performance at our Festival in 2009. This time he will bring his two piece backing band to enrich our experience, be sure to bring your dancing shoes!
We are once more offering a 15% loyalty discount on the purchase of all three concerts. This means that if you click the 'Buy Tickets' icon below, then add all three concerts to your cart, the discount will automatically appear at checkout. Or, if you prefer to purchase by phone, call Dawn at 403 949 4114 using the credit card of your choice, you can arrange to pick up your complete package at the concert. These three memorable evenings will cost you as little as $92.65 for an adult or $87.55 for a senior. As an added bonus a season package purchase also enables the subscriber to transfer unused concert tickets to another performance without incurring extra processing charges. To transfer from a lower priced concert to a higher priced concert the difference must be paid.
Over the last 22 years, Juno and ECMA award winners Sloan have been a fixture of Canadian Rock. The group formed in Halifax in the early '90s while attending University. All four members of Sloan write their own songs, each has their own distinctive voice and when they play live they switch instruments accordingly with each different song. With influences diverse as The Beatles, punk rock and AC/DC, the young band was signed within months of their creation. They can boast massive Canadiana hits like "Money City Maniacs", "Coax Me" and "Beverly Terrace". Sloan recently released their coming of age album, Twice Removed.

After fronting Barrage, one of the most successful fiddle acts in the world, Lynae and Denis Dufresne toured the country with some of the biggest names in Canadian music. In 2005, they took time off from the road to settle in Calgary. They quickly became antsy and formed PEAR.
With Lynae as the songstress and Denis as the musical backbone, PEAR quickly developed a grassroots following in Canada, USA and Europe. With Lynae’s powerhouse vocals, and the duos sweet harmonies. This multi instrument, energetic and infectious performance that covers tunes from Beethoven, the Beatles, their own original country tunes and everything in between you won’t want to go home following the show.

Interweaving rock, soul, pop, and Latin-funk on his latest album, Cuba (a two time Grammy winner) continues his journey as a critically acclaimed independent artist who's charted his own destiny across the world stage, earning a growing legion of devoted listeners at each new juncture. “Music, for me, is not one style,” says Cuba. He consistently challenges perceptions about what Latin music is, and who listens to it, by being true to himself. The band consists of drums and electric bass with Alex fronting on guitars and vocals. A big sound comes from this small package with Alex’ wizardry on the guitar, through innovative chord progressions or dizzying solos (all played without a pick), makes for an energetic show packed with memorable “moments”.
